Scully’s travels inspire a series of abstract compositions with palettes pulled from urban, rural and coastal landscapes
Throughout his six-decade career, Sean Scully (born 1945) has lived in London, New York, Berlin and Aix-en-Provence, and has also been inspired by visits to Morocco, Mexico and the Bahamas. Many of his abstract compositions reflect his perception of the dynamic rhythm of the big city or the liberating calm of nature.
