A contemporary German artist’s oeuvre of fragmentary, text-based installations and drawings German artist Daniel Rode (born 1971) makes serial, large-scale installations and drawings inspired by found and overheard fragments of text. By divorcing the words from their original context and obscuring their legibility, Rode extends the momentary indeterminacy experienced by viewers preceding their interpretation of the work.
