In Unclaimed, Håkan Ludwigson (born 1948), working with Lennart Grebelius, photographed the gravestones of hundreds of unclaimed prisoners buried at Joe Byrd Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas. Photographed against a black background, these stone crosses are accompanied by tables listing information—names, crimes, duration of imprisonment and how each died.
