Jaromir Stephany (1930–2010) was one of the greatest exponents of cliché verre photography--i..e, painting or drawing on a transparent surface and printing the image on a light-sensitive paper--making serial depictions of imaginary cosmoses, as well as photographs of natural abstractions and, later in his career, computer-aided clichés verres. This is his first monograph.
