In 2018, Italian photographer Carlo Mari (born 1959) traveled the coast of East Africa, from North Kenya to Mozambique, photographing fishermen. Passage through Dar presents these color photographs of boats, nets and fish, conjuring the everyday life of fishermen in this region.
