The highly crafted trompe l’oeil paintings of Japanese-born, Los Angeles–based artist Kaz Oshiro (born 1967) depict ordinary items like beaten-up amplifiers, filing cabinets, trash dumpsters and suitcases so realistically that they appear as ready-made objects.
