Bali-based American painter Lydia Janssen’s (born 1976) background as a professional dancer is readily apparent in her paintings, which evoke bodily movement through abstracted human forms, geometric lines and muted, flesh-like colors. Janssen’s first monograph presents paintings created since 2010.
