Marie Kølbæk Iversen: Histories of PredationMarie Kølbæk Iversen: Histories of Predation

Published by Mousse Publishing.
Text by Marie Kølbæk Iversen, Adam Khalil, Isabella Rjelle, Yann Chateigné Tytelman.

Inspired by history and mythmaking, Marie Kølbæk Iversen (born 1981) uses video projection to take viewers inside the anatomy of a Greenland shark, which can live for up to 500 years. Iversen illuminates the fibers inside the eye lenses to evoke the passage of time as seen through a species that routinely outlives the average human.
