The drawings of New York–based artist and poet Alice Attie (born 1950), presented in this publication, explore the territory between writing and drawing. Engaging repetition, rhythm and gradual change, Attie allows minuscule words, figures, numbers and images to accrue and grow on the paper, accumulating until abstract.
