The Far Flowered Shore explores Japanese culture during cherry-blossom season. Sascha Weidner (1974–2015) made the series in 2013 while staying at Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto. The book is supplemented with texts by American poet Bill Berkson and ancient tanka poems.
