Published on the occasion of the opening of the new Aïshti Foundation, designed by David Adjaye in Beirut, this volume showcases a selection of contemporary art masterpieces from the outstanding Lebanese collection of Tony Salamé. Tony Salamé is the CEO of Aïshti, a fashion and luxury group operating various stores in Beirut. Salamé has been collecting contemporary art since the early 1990s and has established the Aïshti Foundation, a non-for-profit institution dedicated to contemporary culture, encompassing more than 2000 works by international artists. Realized on the occasion of the inauguration of the Foundation’s new building, designed by the British architect David Adjaye, this volume accompanies the inaugural exhibition, titled “New Skin.”

Jeffrey Deitch is an American expert in modern and contemporary art and an advisor to private and institutional art collectors. He is also an art writer and exhibition organizer. Massimiliano Gioni, Italian art critic and curator, is the director of the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi, as well as the Artistic Director of the New Museum in New York.
