High-rise hotels, offices and apartment buildings designed with communal, sustainable lifestyles in mind
This volume, which collects some of the Milan-based practice ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel’s main projects between 2000 and 2020, is drawn from an exhibition of ACPV buildings photographed by Carlo Valsecchi (born 1965), held at the Palazzo Morando in Milan. Taken over 12 years of travel in Italy, Germany and Taiwan, the 126 photographs presented in the first section capture ACPV's projects: an exchange between the built environment, the landscape and the complexity of cities. The second part of the book is a collection of project histories from their concept and evolution to their completion, in the manner of an architectural "logbook." The book is enriched by contributions from art critic Francesco Bonami; former director of London’s Design Museum, Deyan Sudjic; curator and essayist Francesco Zanot; and architect Valerio Paolo Mosco.
