Argentinian artist La Chola Poblete (born 1989) was named Deutsche Bank’s 2023 Artist of the Year and selected to exhibit at the Venice Biennale 2024. Her work engages with the consequences of colonialism and capitalism, especially in the context of the obliteration and stereotyping of Indigenous peoples and cultures.
